Here is a friendly answer to your 3 questions:

1. No idea about the website, but the product you are looking to purchase conforms to policies set by the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency), to the best of our knowledge. Policies can change, and are subject to interpretation by the officer inspecting the package.

2. Yes, it's a low-quality product by our gaming standards. If this is a display piece, go nuts, you don't need it to perform well.

3. 007 is taking a new direction in the near future, and their website is fairly outdated. Also, the CBSA does not set law, only internal policies, and they are responsible for protecting the country from possible threats coming in from outside the border. items sold on 007 are already in-country, and therefore do not break the CBSA's policies. As for why even having clear/orange-tipped guns? Because Walmart, Canadian Tire, Cabella's, etc... need to sell something to underage kids to shoot each other with. And paintball doesn't cut it anymore, I guess.

On a side note - with Halloween coming up in the next few months, it's my responsibility as a serious airsofter to inform you to please do not use this as a component of a costume. Especially if you intend on painting it, law enforcement cannot tell the difference from a distance, and you risk serious injury and firearms-related charges if you brandish an airsoft gun in public.

But then again, it's also called "natural selection".
