the problem is on the baseplate of the grip.
the treaded brass part doesnt fit over the endbell of the motor.
so the motor sits on top of the baseplate and cant be lowerd but only raised.
since it's already too high when sitting on the baseplate, adjusting the screw will only make it worse.
it would seem that MAGPUL forgot to check to see if the baseplate fits over the endbell. i had to modify my MIAD grip so the motor's endbell would fit in the screw hole. once that was done i could properly adjust the motor hight and now my gun is nice and quiet.

you will need to use a dremel and remove some material from that brass ring. at least 3mm deep and wide enough so the endbell of the motor can drop in without catching on anything.
