Those two are the same crime... Or rather, using an imitation firearm in an indictable offence is what robbery and attempted murder charges imply..

actually no. One is federal offence under c-68 and the other is under provincial crimial offence..... So they can charge him under both laws.
a bit like being charged with murder with a deadly weapon and then be charged with unlawfull distcharge of a fiream, careless storage blablabli, blablabla....
