The reality is that the "consensus" around the 18+ policy has never been seriously tested. When it was first implemented, the community was small enough that there wasn't a lot of room for dissent. For a time, it was even mistaken as having legal weight.

As I've said when Ken first brought up the whole clear receiver'd guns, this was only a matter of time. Learn to enjoy the ride.
