If airsoft had a position that weak in Canada, it'd be over by now. Stop being so deterministic.
Youths have had access to realistic looking pellet guns for years, and they're far more dangerous than any airsoft guns. By your logic, kids should've done enough damage to each other to ban pellet guns several times over. That is obviously not the case. If the government banned everything kids could do stupid things with, the legal driving age would be somewhere in the mid 20s.
The only useful insight from this thread is that knee-jerking fear-mongering isn't limited to any specific political alignment.
