Why is it across the board it seems that people seem to think sniper rifles are dangerous or something? What makes an AEG capable of 16+ bb's per second all firing at 350fps or more (my buddies SCAR fires .25's@380fps) in tight groupings, easily ensuring multiple hits, this is safer than a sniper rifle capable of shooting a .36 or .4 bb at the same velocity? All ballistic goggles (including paintball) can withstand a shotgun blast at 10 feet. You can't tell me that 1 bb hurts more than 4-5 or more.
