If a sniper rifle shoots 450 with .2, with .36 it's shooting only about 330. However, that heavier BB will preserve its muzzle energy over a much longer distance. Whereas a .2g will have lost a lot of its velocity and energy by the time it strikes a target 50 feet away, the heavier BBs will NOT lose their energy. And that makes them much more dangerous over a much loner range.
