I also bought the flambeau case yesterday, seems to work quite nicely with my M4. I was able to fit 8 magazines, my gun (with scope) my P226 and 2 magazines for that as well, and it held the contents solidly when shut. A steal at $30.
However, modifying a guitar case would be pretty badass, especially if you showed up to games dressed as Antonio Banderas in "desperado"
