I've had an assload of guns for some time now, and have posted some pics of various ones in this section and in reviews, but most were all very much works in progress and never did I have all my main AEGs working at the same time. Well now they are. It's taken a long time to get them to the point.

For having been into airsoft for less than 2 years now, I think I've managed to do quite well and I'm pretty proud of my custom(ized) guns. So tonight I was bored and decided I would share a pic and the details of each of my favourite AEGs with you.

Forgive the quality of the pic. My crappy camera doesn't take very good pictures indoors. But it's pretty high res, so you can actually zoom in on some of the details.

Shoots a consistent 300-310 fps

Hey, no need to mess with a pefect gun, right? I've seen no need to upgrade this gun to date. Some day I may consider upping it to near 350 fps, but for now, it's very accurate and has a crazy range considering its low velocity. I don't use it often as it's mostly a collection piece, but have fielded it 3 times so far and it's performed flawlessly.

This is my primary outdoor rifle, and anyone who's been on the receiving end of this gun can vouch for its range, accuracy, and power. I can reach out and touch someone at ranges that are often out of the range of their AEGs. It's a beast in every sense of the word. And with its nice rate of fire, it can send a lot of plastic downrange should cover fire be required. It's been in my hands for at least 80% of my outdoor play time, regardless what my loadout / theme / team may be.

Despite the real C7A2 having OD furniture, I've decided to leave mine black. I think it looks better than OD. And I much prefer the functionality of a good crane stock than the tiny M4-style stock, so I'm more than willing to deal with the 'inaccurate' look. And of course, having the nice powerful battery in the stock kicks serious ass.

The final touch will be a mini rail to attach to the bottom of the handguard so I can attach a vertical foregrip. At that point, this will be considered 100% complete. But right now, it's close enough.

This is the first custom build I attempted from the ground up. The project started out with a lemon TM M4A1. I eventually got rid of all the TM parts. Even the TM motor isn't the original that came with my M4, as that one burned out within a week of getting the gun.

It's still not 100% complete to my liking. It only needs a heavy outer barrel and thinner handguards (so I can mount the TRIAD in the right orientation). The JG 416 crane stock looks a bit bulky, but I love the feel and love the fact it can fit a custom 9.6V large battery pack with sub-C cells. Like with the C7, function wins out over cosmetics. I'll also be attaching a mini rail / vertical foregrip as on the C7. As it stands, it works great and is more than field-worthy. Once I get the final touches installed, I'll call this one "close enough for the modern C8 look.

This is my favourite CQB gun to date. It's been fielded twice to day (Op Fingers at the Mill & Op Broardsword in Picton) and more than surpassed any of my expectations for my first build.

This one started out as a JG MP5J, but pretty much all JG parts have been replaced except the few parts mentioned above. So in essense it is a custom gun.

I bought the original JG MP5 with the intention of using it as an upgrade platform. It took me about a year to get to this point and I'm very happy with the results. I've only fielded it once since it got it's new internals, and I was making 100 ft kills with ease.

So that's the story behind these guns.
