Thanks for all of the help. Turns out the motor was set way to high. I never touched the screw that changes the polarity since I didn't have the right size hex to begin with. After borrowing my buddy's hex set I lowered the motor. Surpersingly.. the motor gear was not stripped at ALL, but the first set of gears in the gearbox are now fubared. I have an extra set so I replaced them.
