Nozzle/BB seating
So after reading a few threads, notably this one
http://forums.airsoftmechanics.com/i...p?topic=2770.0 I am wondering if my nozzle seating is correct. That thread clearly shows the bb being "chambered" right inside the hop up sleeve. At full forward position (confirmed by free nozzle travel when pushed) mine looks more like this  Is this correct for an m4 variant (v2 gb w/ madbull ultimate hopup) or do I need a longer nozzle? - Alex

This is a modify airseal nozzle for the XM/CAR-16/A1/VN.. as the gun is a G&P XM177E1. I will show what it looks like with the G&P metal nozzle in, pics to fol.

If it shoots fine why did you even post? It's probably fine.
Don't bother changing it and taking more photos. Like you said, chrony it if you want and see.

Well airsoft parts solved the issue. The nozzle is an XM/VN marui type, and G&P uses the M4/M16 type. Also solves the mystery of why there are different nozzles. The M4/M16 type are longer and tapered.

Yes but too many people (mostly noobs) seem to think there's something wrong with their rifles when there really isn't, due to their inexperience.
Shoot it/test it, THEN come back and post if something's wrong.

Yup, pretty much as above, new AEG owners see the nozzle doesn't always seat full forward every time, then they come on here and post about something being wrong with their gun after just receiving it due to this normal state, post pics, etc. Was another one just a few days ago, same thing. Nozzle position is timed by the gearbox, namely the tappet plate, sector gear (the one that pulls the tappet plate back as well as the piston) and the anti-reversal latch. The nozzle always will be at a different position after the gun is fired, be it semi, full, etc. As long as the gun shoots fine, where the nozzle comes rest doesn't matter, if you see it's a problem, we don't care because we know it's normal. The nozzle will never sit full forward after every single shot or full auto burst.
