G3 Hop-Up in a SiG552.
This is the only hop-up I could purchase that was full metal that fits inside the SiG552, basically they're interchangable. Problem now is that on a TM SiG552 Hop-Up, it has an additional little spot for a screw to go into, holding the metal plate in the mag-well against it, and then thus holding the hop-up perfectly still. The metal G3 hop-up is the same in every way, except for that little spot to screw the mag-well plate to it.
Is there any way to actually get that plate to stay in there? Since right now it kind of falls out of place. The metal plate doesn't fall out, though, since it is still connected in the body itself. Also, just a side-note. I have a high-cap magazine, but I don't really like high-cap magazines. Neither does the rest of my team, so I was wondering if it's possible modify a high-cap magazine into a mid/low-cap magazine instead. Thanks!

Tape fell off. Was thinking stic-tac.
More of a proper solution before stic-tac though, heh.

Just get a self-tapping screw the same size as the normal hopup plate screw and make your own hole.

Was actually thinking of getting some tapcom screws and doing that, but if I do that, I'm afraid I might go too far and end up penetrating into the barrel part of the hop-up

id say go with drilling and tapping.
if your worried about drilling to far in, figure out how deep a safe depth is by studying the part. take that distance and measure it from the tip of your drill bit to your mark, then put a piece of tape to mark the distance. that way when your drilling with a dremel or whatever, you know you wont dill too deep. works for me all the time. |

If you want 552 midcaps buy the MAG two mag box set. The lowcaps will have to imported by a retailer because they have dummy bullets in them.
