Watching this topic with interest. Might go along that line too.
Damn, I want exactly that now. Minus the multicam, lol. Thanks for showing me that - anyone got one for sale? I kid, I'll post up a WTB ad ASAP (though PM if you do ).

Yeah, RRV's aren't of interest to me as there's just too MUCH real estate on there (thus a temptation for me to carry a crap ton of shit that I won't ever use). A small rig, like the SKD/Eagle rig quoted above would be perfect - I don't even have an excess of 8 Armalite mags and prefer to index mags placed on my belt anyway. The chest rig would just be to have a few extra mags, a few extra pistol mags (for a tertiary weapon, lol), and radio in close at hand for times when I'm hard pressed and need to grab stuff quickly (note that carrying half your primary mags in a backpack is a retarded idea).

However, that may be cutting it close for interfering with the belt, so;
a Sped Ops MOUT rig:

I was rockin' one of these for a little while, really comfy, can hold 8AR mags and molle to boot
Hmm, interesting, Spike. This almost makes me want to buy more mags to fill all the spaces, hahahaha - but no. Too many mags equals too much unused equipment being carried on me equals me getting overly tired and pissed off that I elected to carry so much gear in the first place.

Do it. It's a million times better than running around in a plate carrier, especially if you're a skinny white boy like myself.

+1, light chest rigs are where it's at for outdoor, and if you play indoor, try to get everything onto your belt (AR mags included).

I run the full MAV 1 Piece that has the X Harness and Hydration pouch, along with the TT Padded Belt. Bags of Molle Real Estate.

I have almost filled the belt, and still have room to fill on the MAV. Very comfortable, and customized options for everyones preferences.

I have added the TT E&E Pouch, and Radio Pouch to the MAV. The belt has had my Russell Belt Knife, and Two TT Large Pouches added. I still have room on the MAV and the Hydration Pouch for more MOLLE pouches.

As for where to locate them.

I only had 5 pmags or AUG mags when I ran that rig; 4 in the vest, 1 in the gun.

CP Gear also carries TT rigs.

Looks like SKD is out of the All-Molle chest rigs.

Thanks to all of you (Spike, thanks for taking the time to talk through it with me over MSN), I've chosen the Spec-Ops MOUT to go with my 5.11 patrol belt and not-so-tacticool MEC pack.

I'm honestly thinking about picking up one of those ACM PACA's for when it starts to get colder... but that's another story, lol. I sort of like this look, but without all the MOLLE space and MBSS (or whatever you call that)...

Anyway, I'm going off topic here. I picked the MOUT in the end due to price (there was one cheap in the classifieds) and ability to carry a whole bunch of mags (up to 8, if I'm willing to squeeze all the mags in there). Slightly wider footprint from what I can see, but I can deal with that if I can stuff more junk into my chest rig, lol. Seeing as I have plastic midcaps that I'll be loading in there, the increased mag capacity isn't so much of a pain to tote around... perhaps.

I dunno why I'm explaining myself here - perhaps it's to write down my train of thought for others to consider who are thinking about getting mini chest rigs themselves?

I have both the SKD exclusive and the eagle LE 6 mag one. Both good light, inexpensive loadouts. I recommend any of those. Good luck!

Still debating about the 1 vs 2 piece MAV.
Is the easier don/doff of the 2 piece a worthy trade-off for the slight loss in center real estate.

Ultimate in high speed low drag:

Nothing else is really as low-profile as the BFG products.

I will be running the bandoleer plus a MOLLE belt as my next rig.

Something a little bigger maybe like this? Mag pouches built in and still has a ton of molle real estate as well. Although it isnt as big as other plate carriers and it tend to sit very comfy on your shoulders and chest.
