I think waterproofing on MOSFETs is overblown. As long as it is shrinkwrapped reasonably well and actually inside of the gun, you're probably not going to have issues. Myself and my team members have run numerous SW-SFs and Raptors through everything from downpours to blizzards and they've done fine. The trick is to not dunk your gun in a river, though from what I've personally experienced I suspect most setups would function relatively fine after a river-dunk, if given a few minutes to expel water.

I build and install the DONp SMU and for water proofing I use a shrinkwrap that double walled and has a Glue on the insode. when heated the extra thck wall gets pretty sturdy and the glue seals the ends very nicely.

I am really interested in it for the three round burst, but I'm not sure if there are better out there. I think I read somewhere that these overheat but I'm not certain it was this particular one

burst wizard/avacado is not a true mosfet. All it does is give you burst fire, it doesn't do the basic function of what most people want a mosfet for, and that's controlling the voltage/current going through the trigger contacts. It makes claims that it does, but the way they do it doesn't eliminate it completely or very effectively.

If all you want is burst fire, then it's not bad at what it does.

The burst wizard will run as a direct in line burst or can be wires in like a standard MOSFET.
I use two of these. They're pretty awesome. And actually instock

hurr interesting, everything I was reading indicated it was only inline wiring between motor and battery.

In other news, we're starting to work on the microFETs and standard FETs and have the sizing for the standard FETs now. These are the aforementioned IRLB3034-based FETs with TVS diode protection, 16awg of teflon coated milspec wire, etc, instead of no TVS and shitty Deans wet noodle wire with insulation that tears at the sight of a sharp edge.

The dimensions of the Basic MOSFET with no fuse are as follows:

Length: 40mm
Thickness: 13mm
Width: 17mm

The dimensions of the Basic MOSFET with polyfuse are as follows:

Length: 52.5mm
Thickness: 15mm
Width: 18mm

The microFETs do not have TVS or polyfuse so they're meant for tight spaces and lower-power applications where you're not running an M130+ spring on highspeed gears and a Neo motor. The FET itself has some internal diode protection but more testing needs to be done if it can hold up to the increased RF noise generated by neo motor use. This will most likely be introduced later on.

Had one MOSFET on my last AEG setup, ASCU it was. Needed it because the JG M-93 motor had so much torque that it caused overspinning in semi-auto (Half cocking the piston) and the ASCU solved the issue, while bringing the 3-burst feature that was nice too !!
