Yeah the built-in hicap is a turn off, there is a classic kit floating around for it but there's a hose from the gun to the mag so changing mags would be inconvenient.

That thing was built from model gun or blank firing gun. I'm pretty sure it was Hudson. I had a chance to play around with that PPSH. Probably one of the best AEGs I've ever held. I wonder if it would be possible to import converted dewat. I have a strong feeling that it's impossible

The AK47 was used in WW2. There is plenty of those.

Theres also a shell ejecting SKS. (Russian autoloading rifle. Pre-dates the AK)

But you want US guns.
Seems like a tricky one to me.

AK entered service in 1947 about a year later than SKS.

riiiiiight..just like how putting a bipod and drum mag on an AK47 magically makes it an RPK or some other kind of LMG

A prototype conversion from a guy at WW2AIRSOFT.

http://www.airsoftbattlezone.com/sgscustomairsoft.html - These guys sell a conversion kit.

There is an entire community built around converting AS guns to fit the 'shells' of older guns. You can literally make anything if you stick to it...

can one of the russian guys clarify this for me?

now if i read the articles i found on the sks correctly prototypes of the sks were being developed in early 1945 however they werent put into service until 1949 is this correct?

Also, upon browsing the net, a few sources say that the SKS was used in WW2 but it didnt see much action.

I just checked guns.ru SKS did enter service in 49, not in 46 like I was thinking and it was used by certain parts of soviet army all the way up until 80s. I remember seeing guards carrying SKS and Mosin carbines at my mother's work during late 80's. By guards I mean old ladies guarding office buildings and factories

Lythinca, according to guns.ru small runs of SKS saw action starting in late 1944. That's something new to me. Gotta love guns.ru

yeah l meet the guy with the ppsh when i bought his stg44- it was sick! He even had a mg34. Dont remember his user name.

That was Douglas/Selousscout.

That PPSH of his was unmistakeble, both in report and RoF. Effing thing was insane and perfect for Douglas, by the time you got the 'H' of HIT!! shouted out it felt like you'd been hit by 30 rounds.

He's headed back to Korea as far as I know, too bad as he will be missed on the WW2 fields.
