The ballistic insert are OK for airsoft. I tested one myself with my M24 at 450fps with .30 at point black. No dent or crack or mark on the lense.

BUT

They fog like crazy and the upper part tend to crumble in your face making you look like a tard. Did I say they fog like hell?? Well, they do a lot!

caution with the army surplus ones the original contracted ones are Ballistic rated. Open the top snap on the face of the gogs and it will be printed right on top BALLISTIC LENSE. THe regimentals sometimes get the after market out of the states and thry work fine for SWD but are flexible and easy to bend not rated at all.

I took a few Ballistic lense SWD gogs to the Drag ops range and they took the beatings of and upgraded at 10'. That's not an endorsement just an observation. One set of eyes is best to keep in mind.
Cheers

You can also get almost the exact same goggles made by G&P airsoft that have the ballistic lens 2mm . Ive seen them available at a couple of airsoft suppliers overseas and on ebay as well.

Wiley X Saber, PT-1, PT-2 Ballistic glasses work fine as long as you are moving and provide some airflow. Once you stop, there is no airflow and they will start fogging. Of course, that is if they are allowed to be used at your field....

The SG-1s have poor ventilation, but the new V-cut SG-1, should solve much of the fogging problem.
