Outperforms? A TM is more accurate, the JG guns just have higher stock fps and thus have a longer range. Reliability wise a JG will never even approach a TM. The fps consistency is also part of performance, my JG AK fluctuates from 341 to 350fps so a range of 9fps, I've never owned a TM that had a range larger than 5. The JG will break down FAR before a TM will even strain, the cylinder head is plastic and the mechboxes show a lot more flaws, JG also doesn't stick in the front screw on the ver.3 mechboxes that keeps the mechbox from opening a gap at the front.

I'm not saying JG are crap, they are very decent especially for the price, I'm just saying they still aren't near a TM. If I had a choice for which gun I'd want to buy as a starter gun, TM all the way. But once you have one reliable gun if your looking to expand your collection for cheap to try out different models and such JG seems to be a very valid option.

Unfortunately the reviewer has only handled his friends TM/ICS/CA AEGs but has never owned one. The only guns he has owned are also China guns.
Kinda pointless if you ask me. Since we already know that new-to-airsoft people like the gun. Find me a newbie who doesnt love their gun....any gun.
There is a lack of reviews on the JG guns from experienced airsofters with long history using quality guns.

Its had an impressive showing thus far, and Id like to see JG come out with a full sized G36.

ASR has some decent overviews of the china guns from experianced users.

I am quite happy with their service, and the quality and performance of my Jing Gong G36C. I'll be getting an M4 and Beta Spets JG , as well as an ICS MP5 from buyairsoft.ca in the next few months.

thanks for that, a lot of helpful information to change my mind about it. It may be cheap but I'm thinking I might want to wait a while and save up for a CA. Is the stock CA M15A4 full metal? If so, what are some notable parts that are made from ABS plastic?

Plastic, ha, lets see, on My CA M15, buttstock, pistol grip, front hand grips, piston, and the outer casing on the wires, thats about all the plastic that I found.

Some hopup parts... the gears in particular, and one other piece. Then you have the... nozzle. Motor case.

That's probably it. The wires are silicone coated, not plastic per say.
