Hi, So im very new to the world of Airsoft. Having played and worked for DYE paintball for many years i know that as a newbie i have some dues to pay. I want a gun just like the one the Delta Force Operator using in Blackhawk down, and what they use in general for CQB. i was told to go with a magpul than modify. Is that a good gun that i can build on and it can last? any one have a suggetions. thanks i live in San Diego so any good games or places i should play

ummm... you should read the faq, and do your research. the often asked question asked is is this gun good.
Second this is "AIRSOFT CANADA" so you should check some US sites for what to play and what to use. the things we have here are very different then what you need in northern Cali.

Seeing as you live in San Diego I'd recommend heading over to Airsoft Extreme @ 4821 Convoy Street they should be able to give you all the info you need for your area.

Magpul is a real steel weapon and weapon accessories manufacturer that has an airsoft division but it is mainly parts. They have licensed out their Masada rifle for manufacture but other than that there is no other gun that is made by Magpul but you can upgrade a standard M4 with Magpul parts to change the aesthetic look to it but that's about it.

Not to be rude.. But i think you should read around on airsoft forums/online sites to get used to all the airsoft lingo/manufacturers/different types of airsoft weaponry. I personally suggest clicking on over to AirsoftRetreat or TheAirsoftSoldier forums. Since you live in the states you should have a very very wide variety in weaponry/gear. Us Canadians are not so fortunate. Although, us here on AirsoftCanada can and probably will help you out with any further questions you may have.

God dammit, I'm becoming a troll. But seriously, Free2Fire, since you're in the States, don't even tease us Canadians about purchasing/playing airsoft as our obtaining-ness of guns is in a definite grey area. Seems to me that the advice you should take is "go to a forum in the States" - loosely paraphrased from the above posts. Good luck with your (near) future airsoft endeavors.

Anyways, Free, you have to understand that airsoft is much different in Canada than it is in the United States, so we cannot help you with information about prices, places to play ect.

CAG or Delta aren't really on the Magpul bandwagon yet. For a current blaster a H&K 416 will do the job, for a BHD setup a M4 with a few odds and ends will be what you want for the average joe, or a M14 for one of the snipers.
