GBB Pistol: Enhanced Recoil Spring Quetsions

Hey Guys

Just a few questions regarding upgrading the recoil spring on a GBB Pistol. I was wondering what the pros and cons are when upgrading the recoil spring.

I know people upgrade the spring to make their gun more snappier and crisper due to a heavier slide or they just want to improve their ROF.

But what are the cons of just upgrading to an enhanced recoils spring?
Does upgrading the spring affect or increase gas consumption in anyway?

I know gas consumption is regulated by the hammer spring and magazine valve but does the recoil spring affect gas too?

The reason I ask this is that I have about eight enhanced recoil springs and I'm not sure if I'd want to use them if they negatively affect the performance of my pistol.

Anyways that's about it.
Thanks for posting in advance

The only con I can think of is worse performance in cold weather. As in, as it gets colder out, the gun with the lighter recoil spring will cycle properly longer, because it takes less gas/power to cycle.

I use them on pistols made to work on duster or HFC gas that I use on propane instead (like a TM Glock or ACM full metal PPK) to absord some of the shock from the stronger recoil. Seems to work well so far as I haven't had a breakdown yet. I do use buffers in conjunction tho...

Ahh,.. I sort of assumed that but I wasn't sure. Thanks for confirming this.

That's something good to know. I'm actually interested in picking up a TM Glock down the road to add to my Glock collection but I've been really worried about the Frame issue that TM Glocks are known for when using propane.

I haven't been able to find out much on avoiding the problem but I'll keep this in mind

Thanks guys
