Exclamation Krytac Lawsuit

Hi Folks, saw this today. The lawsuit is regarding Canada firstly, then moving on to other countries. Anyone know more on this topic?

Will be interesting to see how far this lawsuit can go, because my understanding is the guns

1) Lack the trademarks / branding and aren't named as such

2) Use a different mechbox / internal mechanism than the Krytac, so it's not a clone

3) External features, like location of the fire selector, is also different in a number of ways

I wonder if it's more of a posturing move to try and scare retailers than them having solid legal ground to win?

I talked to a retailer that brought in the Ares Vectors, they had to send their existing stock back to the supplier. They didn't chase down the units they sold, told the customers to enjoy their now rare guns.

The Kriss thing has always been weird. From the way the real ones came to market to the partnership with KWA USA and then the ugly divorce that spawned Krytac.

Part of having a trademark is a requirement to defend it in court. This may have seemed like a good hill to take.
