Yours is not broke ... just screw it back in lol*

Same here about the "wide/narrow" band ... anyone a clue?
Ignore the error msg when you enter a freq.... did the same and it does not affect anything.
With greet you can change the "FFFFFFFFF" msg when you start up the radio ... to "hello" or something like that.

It is ctcss

Thanks for your fast reply! As you seem to be excellent with this radio I have two more questions (in fact I forgot them):

What is the Busy lock?

What are communication ports? (I get the choice from 1 to 4)?

Thanks

EDIT to Lucky 131: some of the wires had been damaged due to the un-screwed plug

I send an email to RSOV for a restock date for 2 MBITR, because it is currently out of stock like many other shop. They say to me that they are waiting for a new batch of the radio! they have already placed an order with United Star and they are waiting for delivery in mid-March

@ alexandrexxx: Try to change your country settings to USA, then you will get no longer this error message. It is really annoying when you try to programm the ctcss codes.

I redid pretty much the whole review, added info, a programming guide and a preset file for FRS frequencies.

If anyone has a preset file for PMR, please let me know! I will add it.

Also, feel free to do mirrors for the files I posted in case my own server has problems.

For the group order, I've (finally!) sent everything to TechSeller. He will be handling everything else from now on as he's the retailer, and the one who is used to import radios

For any questions (regarding the radio) post them here (please not by PM... posting them here allows other people to see your questions thus you should get an answer faster )

On my laptop I don't have any plug as you need to connect the wire which is provide with the MBITR, I ordered a Kenwood programming wire with USB, but do you think that it will works with the software?

shouldn't the impedence problem with RS headsets (if u dont wanna use comtacs) be solved if you find some sort of impedence amplifier adapter?

I was looking at this one;
http://www.tacticalcommandstore.com/..._headsets.aspx

then maybe I would be able to use ranger comms with the radio?

@Conker : Have you some informations about a 3rd batch of the radio? (Rsov customer service say to me that the MBITR is currently OOS because they are waiting for an new batch ...)

Well I finely got my MBITR and it just works, no problems.
Programming this monster was oddly enough no problem. So I would just like to share with you all the frequency preset file, it's coded for the 8 analogue PMR frequency's at 0.5W. Hope that it will come in handy.

File Type: txt MBITR- Analog PMR.txt (2.6 KB, 99 views)

@Viking_Dane :
Is it the same for all of Europe?
If I have your authorization, I will make a mirror on my server and add it my post on the first page.

@alex3_57 :
I asked and apparently for now there's still good supply of the 2nd batch, and no info on a 3rd revision. I requested to be notified if a new version was out, so I hope I'll be kept in the loop!

@alexandrexxx : I didn't try, so can't be sure... but assuming you have the correct drivers (low-cost adapters sometimes have problems with Vista and Seven) I believe... but don't take my word for it. Hopefully someone who try will be able to answer.

---

For all those interested in the group order, TechSeller should make the announcement after TAC11 is over. Prices will be around 260$ with free shipping within Canada (compatible Element PTT and headsets will be available too).
