I fully and freely admit, without reservation, that my loadout is inspired as much by (if not more by) Modern Warfare 2 as it is the Russian military...

Feel free to move to Manitoba if you like Tex.. lol
Manitoba Ivan started because of Modern Warfare. We just decided to skip the Video game look and just do straight up Russian. But, gotta pay respect when its due.

Not to be picky, but isn't that body armour a little too recent for the 2nd chechen war? Correct me if I'm wrong.

For VDV unit, wich is the best equiped branch after Spetnaz, it was issued to soldiers in the first half of the 2000s. Then it was issued to other brand like naval infantry.
Indeed, there was some soldiers still carring 6B3/5's. Maybe it's more appropriate too say that is late 2000s Chechen impresion. Last edited by The Keiichione; June 2nd, 2011 at 23:39.. |

I'm glad to see your stuff getting even better Keichi! I love shooting things, but somehow shooting at good-looking things feels even better :P

Soviet VDV, Field Exercise, early 1980's
What I was trying to achieve:
God I love Soviet bling... Kit list: 2 piece coveralls with Collar, shoulder and arm branch insignia in sky blue (branch insignia arm patches on BOTH arms as per pravda photos) Blue beret with red star badge (no red flash, apparently not worn on exercise) Sky blue Telnyashka RD-54 back pack (with magazine and grenade pouches attached to belt, got to look smart for the photographers!) AK bayonet 3 cell airborne mag pouch short leather boots (Naval infantry versions alas) AK74S Edit: I have noticed that my coveralls althought not the perferred one piece or the M69 "He-Be's" might actually be that strange 2 piece set that saw some service early in Afghanistan. I thought these were a stop gap for the VDV between the one piece coveralls and the later Mabuta cut fatigues. I see this might not be the case....
