Dual powered guns?

Ive been searching around and have found a few cheaper airsoft guns that have whats called "dual power" referring to the fact that they can shoot with either spring or battery. I wouldn't buy any of the guns which I have seen because of the low quality but I'd like to ask a few things.

Can you get quality dual powered guns? And, are these any good? Like are the prone to breaking and stuff like that?

At first I thought he was talking about dual gas/electric powered guns like classic airsoft guns.

I'm dreaming of a M14 EBR that could be both electrical and spring powered, as when you sneak around, you can use it BA and when you're just in a firefight, use the aeg feature. It would be sweeeet

1) Its not practical to have 2 methods of "Propellant" due to additional moving parts (More Moving Parts = More things that can go wrong + Weaker Internals due to less reinforcement).

2) Its not realistic, the point of airsoft is realism. This would defeat the purpose. Then they may as well be paintballing.

3) There are almost no availaible parts for it, no aftermarket. If something breaks your pretty much screwed.

If your gonna be a smartass Alex, at least do it right.

The KSC HK33 is a sweet setup...it's a precocking gun, much like the PSG1/G&G L85.

As such, once "charged"/racked...the rifle is ready to shoot the first shot without having to wind up the shot like other AEGs.

You could also just go "manual" on it...cocking each shot, but really the cocking was to set it for the first shot.

A bit more complicated than other AEGs...but really more so just different. SUPER easy to swap out springs to vary the FPS.

I've got more than a few regrets...but one of the biggest ones so far is that I didn't buy one when I had the chance.

Don't know about any clone/crappy ones...
