Also, the feed well on the magazine seems to be much longer then the feed well on the gun (meaning the feeding tube on the gun isn't pushing on the nub on the mag)

I have both the plum and the Bakelite for the STAR Ak74 micaps, and i was wondering if any one else has the same problem.

And can some one tell me a good brand + type of magazine that feeds and fits well on the ICS AK74M (eg. G&P Ak74 70RND magazine ... etc)

Thanks
I just got my ICS ak74m(turbo 3000) today, the 2 hicaps that came with the gun having problems loading BB's.It only feed bbs if I pull the mag backwards a little bit.If i let it go,it won't feed bbs at all...I have to use one hand to hold the mag to make it work. That is weird.
The gun is brand new,and it doesn't work properly out of the box.
Anyone got this problem? How could i fix it?

I have used both Star locaps in my 74, and 74 hicaps in my TM beta, and haven't had any issues. Haven't yet used any mids

Mine had the same issue. It went away after I started thumping the bottom of the mag up into the mag well when I toss in a fresh one. A few times of doing this and my AK feeds fine now.

Mine is still not working :rrr: ,it seems that this is not a common problem for all ICS AK74Ms,and I am not going to waste my time fixing a brand new gun, and end up break anything new.I just contacted the retailer and asked for a new one.

Has anyone gotten a chance to try the Star 70RD ak74 mags yet? I just picked up an AK and I don't want to be stuck with either high caps or using AK47 mags to get normal mag loads

Yes. They worked fine only when I was pushing mags into the magwell with my hand during firing.

Thanks Zuda. You could also use ABS sheet at from model train shops instead of having to scavenge ABS from injection moulded products. You wouldn't have to deal with draft angle with sheet stock and you probably would find it in a good range of thicknesses.

Bllaahahhahaa111

I finally figured out what that product was! It's a wall outlet blocker to prevent infants from electrocuting themselves with a paper clip on the floor.

I think it's definitely cool having someone from Japan posting a good kludge fix on ASCanada.
