i owned one for a short period of time and i have to say i'm not impressed. the gun is built around the marui internals which are for pushing a light slide at extreme speed. what they did was use the same internals with a lead alloy slide. sure it feels nice, but the thing is ridiculously heavy and recoil is very forceful, but too sluggish. also, if you fire quickly the cooldown is so strong there's just about no way you can finish the mag before running out of gas. there are small tricks you can use to fix this issue (trim the reed valve spring) but they dont obliterate the problem.
accuracy however was good because it's modeled after the tm style hopup, maybe not crafted as well but damn effective compared to the old WA style hop.
since i've got all of airsoft innovation's stock at my house, i got to take a look at some of the metal slides available for the hicapa and lord god jesus are they sweet. milled aluminium kicks cast lead alloy's ass any day. plus they have trades :P and the tm hicapa doesnt have that silly shiny sticker on the grip.
