This is some (potentially) great news! I still wish they'd do a FAL, but this is also an amazing development! I realize classic airsoft and Daytonagun threads in particular can get a bit controversial (GiM vs. airtube, paintball references etc...), but if this uses regular AEG mags (which it looks like it does) then we might just have a great winter game option.

All DaytonaGun's use AEG Magazines.

Ignorant folks will always complain about the hose.

Stick a 13cui Tank in a Nalgene pouch on the front of your vest and conceal the hose with a sling cover and that's all there is to it.

Mostly steel internals and very simple design it's easy to maintain.

I've already tried to bring this market to Canada but there's not enough interest.

Looks like it meets 430fps with 0.20g but when CBSA takes it in for testing they'll probably give up trying to setting it up and just seize it.

I know he had problems in the past keeping up with demand, but here's hoping he can crank these babies out at a reasonable pace. I'd also like to know he he got the bolt lock to work. It sounds to me like there are a couple of shots after each mag empties, so I'm guessing the increased air flow triggers a valve attached to the lock, but I also have no real expertise in the area :P.

As for bringing these in to Canada, I;m sure DG or someone could manufacture a non-adjustable valve set to 430fps for the Canadian market, but you're right, there just isn't that much interest in an all-season, fps/rps-adjustable GBB. Go figure.

Go with polar star if you want to play like paintball
Go with DG if you want to play realistic.

Well, I had finalized my decision to get a Polar Star and a WE M14 for next year. Since the Datonagun M4 is finally a available product I'll have to reconsider.

The pistol grip looks a bit strange to me. It appears to be AEG in width, but I'm not sure. I'd like the option to fit real steel grips on it.

DG (Escort) can perform just as well as Solenoid system
The biggest complaint I heard from PS user was DG has too much recoil (LOL?!? Are you kidding me?)

DaytonaGuns are made from high-grade steel not your average airsoft internal components.

The design allows use of standard AEG inner barrels, something Classic guns lacked.

I'm probably going to try and get a hold of one of these newer design M4s from Justin.

See how it shoots next to my customised WE M4 Open Bolt.

That would be amazing. if you end up doing this, please document everything. I've always wanted a DG custom, but the startup cost is prohibitive. I can't really justify dropping the $800 - $1000 on it :P If this used stock externals though, switching uppers for different games would rule (CAR-15/M16 for Vietnam games, DMR setup, CQB...). Anyone know what the going rate for the M4s will be?

The M4s are not drop-in kits like the M249 & AK74 series.

I don't think DG will sell these as kits either besides it's better to have it assembled.

The previous M4s went for $800USD Shipped but was a limited run of 20
