I think the auctions went away because about 4 people used them.

Considering so many auctions started like 10-15% away from retail new, it wasn't worth doing all the regular "auction things".

IIRC though, auctions weren't there that long. And even if there were some ridiculously low bids, I remember the offers being reasonnable.

I have my eyes on a commercial classifieds script, but I still need to look at ir carefully. It includes auctions and alot of nice features, but it would be a major overhaul of our sales section. The donations have made it possible to buy the license is necessary (for it or other software), so I may be looking into it in future. I'd love to have them on the site.
