A different point of impact?

Hi guys, I was plinking with my GBBR in the basement, when I decided
put on my RS mock AR silencer.I was shooting at a standard size piece
of paper at 56 feet, and all shots were within the 8" range.

I switched to the silencer and my shots were everywhere, some
even hit the paper, is my silencer creating a vortex or something?

My theory:
If the silencer has a different inner diameter than your barrel, it could cause some inaccuracy.

It is a threaded pipe with a solid tube of steel milled to
look like a silencer fastened over the pipe with set screws.

The exit hole is not perfectly aligned. Your BBs are hitting it on the way out and thus cause issues.

As you can see in the first picture, the hole is a fair bit larger.

In this picture, you can see that it is a straight tube.
I'm not sure that the bb can veer off that much in
six inches?

You'd be surprised.

If fully auto is a lot more inaccurate, it's probably because of the bb flying through the gas bouncing around in the tube that was left from the previous shot...

Semi auto is always more accurate, silencer or not.
Is your hopup adjusted properly?
I made my own silencer, typical airsoft cans have an exit aperture of 10-14mm, my can is 10" long and has an exit aperture of a mere 7.4mm, and I've never chopped a BB on it.
If your hitting the can at 6" it's most likely your hopup, but I've seen defective barrels before.

I'm gonna toss out a guess and say...difference in weight with the attached silencer is causing a slight bend in your barrel perhaps? Trying to relate the thought I had into words is hard...especially since I just drank a bottle of wine. Quiet sound connecty thing drag down barrel cause shots go crazy pie.

I think you meant to say he has a droopy bananna.

?? This is interesting,I guess I'll find a way to clamp the barrel
down, bore sight it with a light mark it and do a test at 1foot
then 5 then 10 to see how much deviation I'm getting.
I'll post the results here.

I forgot to mention that I'm using a INOKATSU all metal with a
steel barrel,so I'm not sure I follow the droopy banana.

OK.... Crazy thought here but have you ever heard of engine porting on a car? I've been doing a little reading on this so maybe my understanding is wrong but here it goes anyways.

Basically because the parts don't always 100% perfectly match and line up some turbulence is introduced. So, where does that leave us? If you go along with my theory of engine porting; with the gas propelling the BB out of the barrel maybe when it reaches the suppressor that's when it doesn't line up and turbulence gets introduced into the system, meaning an unpredictable BB.

I guess you'd need a flow bench to really test this, and even then how would you hook things up to test this not to mention you'd need to downscale a flow bench in order to carry out a test like this.

Could it be that the bore isn't consistent and your BB is bouncing around inside the suppressor?

That's really all I can think of at this time.

I do follow what you are saying, that is what I meant when I said
vortex, once the bb leaves the 6.01 barrel and enters the 11.44
barrel of the silencer,I was guessing that have a chance now to
flow in a different pattern and change the coarse of the bb.
Maybe I need to build an insert to bring down the size of my
silencer?
