Great job man looks really good and looks like it works very well, I just might have to borrow the idea to make one for myself.

So it's just some sort of putty to catch the BB's?

Nice!... I made something similar but it's decidedly more ghetto looking lol.

That's a pretty neat idea man! I might try that myself. I have a trap but they keep going everywhere. Even threw the mesh lol..

Great idea, very well done, portable, small, and does the job. Quick change targets made out of clip boards is neat as well.

How thick have you made the putty? Do the BB's deform after hitting, have you inspected them or tried to reuse them?
I use batt insulation in mine (plywood box) but they're a nightmare to recover lol
Clipboard is a nice idea...taxed

I use a plastic frame with mesh and they go right threw the mesh, I'll even put 2 kitchen clothes "Thick ones" behind it and they still go threw it lol drives me nuts. So i'll probably do this on the weekend lol.

Image saved for target printing.

cheers.

DuctSeal is magic,

Odorless, Stay Flexible for the next 100 years, never dry Good for indoor, outdoor, easy to use, can be a perfect sealer for different use (used to seal holes where some cables cross the walls of my house for going outside. etc...
1'' thick will stop any 500fps pellets.

Hey, would DuctSeal work for making a seal in gas mags?
Or is that really still a job for gasket sealer/maker.

When Ackbar and I first got into airguns, we did something similar but ghetto. Took metal box and stuffed the end with plumber's putty while using magnets to secure 8.5x11 targets. Worked alright but changing out or cleaning the putty was a PITA. Didn't think to use ductseal though, nice idea.

I slice the bar in two, so it make approx 1/2'', that is more than enough. Before applying the ductseal bars into the back of the BB trap, I put some staples each 2'' in the back, not fully nailed, just to add some grip to the ductseal installation.

I do not reuse the BB's, because they get dirt by the sticky ductseal and paper debris, So I prefer to always use clean new BB's into my glock's...

Some BB's stay sticked into the ductseal, and once another BB's hit them, both broke and fall in dust into the bottom of the trap, still no rebound.

When using with Airsoft 6mm BB's, there is no maintenance, the BB's will stick in surface, just wipe it with your hand and all bb's will fall. Using with 4.5MM metal BB's, the only quick and clean way I found to clean the ductseal, with Zéro ductseal lost, is to use strong magnet, then all the metal bb's comes out of the ductseal, even those who is fully absorbed by the ductseal. So your fingers never get in touch with ductseal when cleaning it.

This will not work for gas sealing as it will not handle any pressure. It's like hard plasticine
