TAD styled/replica jackets?

So I've been looking at the TAD styled replica jackets lately, ie the condor jackets and the other variously branded airsoft replicas available and I stumbled on the TAD replica's being sold on alienexpress which go for about half the price of the Condor soft shell.

Has anyone bought one of these off of alienexpress? Quality wise I don't expect them to differ much from the condors as they probably come from the same factory but I've never had any experience with alienexpress.

Pretty much looking for something relatively cheap that I won't mind getting torn up/dirty, etc..

Looking at one of these:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...797254355.html

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...718273940.html

If you got any alternate jacket/store recommendations, I'd love to hear them out.

Thanks!

Aliexpress is basically amazon for manufacturers to pawn their wares. Mostly Chinese, and emerging or third world manufacturers. Like amazon You can get pretty much anything from (link)

You used to be able to buy street drugs by the tonne or uranium 238 for enrichment. Now that stuff went somewhere else. I bought some 1TB flash drives for 24 dollars each. All of em turned out to be fake and filled with trojans but it was gag xmas stocking stuffer so that was the point.

If you want to buy 'genuine condor' (lol genuine condor) then get it from a US website. they sell at 1/2 the price Canadian dealers do. Extreme outfitters etc.

heh, genuine condor.

Well I usually get the majority of my gear from the US anyways considering I have access to a US mailing address so I'm usually comparing things to the US price already. Didn't realize the condor soft shells were marked up that much on the Canadian market...

Might just get one off of ebay then, price is pretty much the same as alienexpress and is more reliable.

Though does anyone know of any other brands that have a similar jacket? Pretty much just looking for a hooded softshell that's somewhat water resistant and won't break the bank.

Surprisingly condor jackets are good, especially the 2013 and 2014.
How about a 5.11 tactical sabre 2.0?

hm... I've seen the Sabre 2.0, its pretty nice and there's a very nice closeout deal for them on LAPG atm but think I'm looking for something more disposal price wise for airsoft which is why I'm looking into the chinese replica's.

Though the Sabre 2.0 is a great suggestion for guys looking for a neat everyday jacket.

Good on you for going US suppliers. MUCH cheaper.

Can't help you, I own a condor summitt softshell bought at an overpriced retailer in town paid almost 120 ish after tax. A smaller retailer with closer ties to asia sold the same jacket for 40 dollars. That jackets sits in the trunk of the car for emergencies

All my shells are Arcteryx. With the LEAF discount its just slightly more than overpriced Edmonton retailer Condor summit.

I've got a Condor Summit in foliage green and it's fuckin awesome. I've worn it to Alaska in summer, Toronto from September to April and I've got no complaints. Waterproof and toasty when layered with a good fleece. A zillion pockets too, got mine from bad wolf tactical on amazon for like $90 shipped, thinking of picking one up in black and one in MC or CB maybe

Good to know, I'll look around a bit more and see if I find anything else I like; if not I'll just go with the condor summit or one of the TAD replica's off of ebay or amazon. Hopefully I find something more water resistant (raincouver...) than either though. I know the condor is water resistant but not as good as some other jackets that are available.

the condor will never be mistaken for a full raincoat but it's actually not that bad in Vancouver.

Oh I know, not looking for a raincoat but they tend to absorb water a little more easily than some of the other jackets I've seen. Just trying my luck at finding something better. If not, I'll just stick with the condor or replica.

Eh, its not bad here unless you get caught in one of those freak rain showers we have every once in a while... got soaked to the bone two or three days ago on a morning run... random spring shower outta nowhere.

Also hoping to snag a deal for something similar to the condor at the dstactical sale tomorrow.

I own an authentic TAD gear jacket and the condor copy. The condor is perfectly acceptable for keeping warm, but the TAD jacket has remarkable temperature regulating abilities. I find that the real deal keeps my temperature very balanced in situations where the condor makes me sweat. If you're not looking for a real PCU / ECWCS Level 5 layer and just need a jacket to stay warm, go with the condor. It works just fine. If you are looking for a Level 5 jacket though... That's a whole other animal (and one that often starts at the $200 mark).

So I just came back from the DStactical sale (with a somewhat lighter wallet...) and the Sabre 2.0 actually looks very nice in person, especially in OD. Think I might just order one of those and call it day if I can't find a decent replica on ebay. The only issue for me is sizing... I think I'm between the XS and the S... sometimes it sucks being asian.

PS. if anyone local hasn't gone to the sale yet, go and pick up a pair of PIG gloves!! They feel great and price is pretty much the same as getting them from the States less the cost of shipping!
