XM8 hopup problem
Everything about the gun works fine (palco xm8 ), but the hopup does not work. The hopup is adjusted by a rotating dial in the 'chamber' of the gun, which is supposed to raise or lower the rubber bump (the hopup device) as the dial is spun. No matter how far i spin it (it does have a limit), there is no change in the trajectory
 ! Anybody have any recommendations?

what make is the the sub gun and what brand kit?
TM or CA or G&G GWS or BE new or used? most likley the tab on the inside of your hop up has not been reinstalled or has detatched. if its ca your hop up might be toast and your going to need to get a new one. im not an expert, but thats where id start if it was my gun, i have both and the ca-be m8 has a pretty pitiful barrel assy.

Its actually a palco XM8, i think its almost identical to the BE version. I think that maybe the hopup is not low enough or something... or as u said, it has fallen out. I just got it 2 days ago

Oh yes, if was to purchase a hopup to fix it, how would i be able to find out what kind to get? This gun is not a tm or a ca, so I am not sure what there is out there to replace it (if i must).

well the internals are g36 knock offs. indide yours when you slide your forgrip off, the entire barrel assembly is held in place via a small pin in between two tabs on the front of the upper reciever (if this isnt there this could be part of the problem). slide that out and the entire barrel assy comes out. the hopup, inner barrel, body rail and outer barrel is all included in the assy. after done, inspect your hop up, if found defective, look on www.uncompany.com for a new G36 hop up (tm has a metal wieght integrated into the barrel assy and theyre all interchangable but you can get just the hop up), pm Jugglez and he can get it for your (or any retailer but i deal through Jugglez) or look in the classifieds a remember shjnitmc was parting his out and as i said all the parts are interchangable between the brands/ makes

Thanks alot man, but im actually not sure if the palco version (mine) is the same as the BE version. I will check out the assembly though.
