My new G&P M249 Ranger

Check out my newest bad boy, the G&P M249 Ranger! I'll be running this LMG for some tests once my battery arrives!

Oh. Wow. That thing is astounding.

How does it feel? In regards to weight, quality, and the like?

Damn You... it makes me want a SAW now.

Interesting setup with the mounting of the forward grip. Is that how it comes in stock form?

The G&P M249 Ranger weighs a lot more than the CA249. The bipod also feels alot better as there is very little play between the pivoting joints. Quality-wise, all metal parts are top notch. The finish is also very well done.

The forward grip comes standard for the "Ranger" version. I find it's too far away from the shoulder to use effectively... but then again, I'm not a giant.

Damn that one is really neat Ray. I kinda hate you for showing me this now I'm looking at my CA249 and I'm not so sure. Owell I'll get a CA25 from you to make the pain go away.

Price quote for the CA25 sent.

Also, don't worry Brakoo, the CA249 has a beefier mechbox than the G&P M249 Ranger. That should at least make you happier too.

Yeah, it's a V2 gearbox in the G&P M249 Ranger. However, G&P gearboxes are finely tuned pieces of kit.
