spraying an LBT

So i have this LBT 6094a its in ACU :banghead: and it was just discontinued by LBT recently so here is the question: save it an sell it to a collector or spray paint it tan and use it. what do you guys think about spraying gear in general?

Thanks

Depends how much you want for it. No one wants UCP (ACU). You might be able to get 200$ for it but nowhere near retail. If that's enough for you then I'd try to sell it, as paint... well that can works but retail value is going to be even worse.

A friend of mine dyed a UCP chestrig and it came out decent. More durable that paint. Maybe you could look into this.

Is it the slick one or is it modular?

I agree with Conker that you should definitely dye it. My teammate dyed all his acu gear blue and it turned out better than real digital urban. You could probably find tan dye

Painting it would be a good idea if you have a loadout setup to suit it

I've painted most of my base colour rigs with wide pattern scrim net or mesh wash bags

Paint the rig its self a basic colour like a tan or olive colour, then give it a second layer.

Image attached is an example (My old ALICE Pack).

Edit: Try not to move the scrim/mesh as much as possible when painting it either, try fade colours in to other colours, has a better effect.

I suggest dying rather than spray painting; its more work but you'll get better results.

I've Krylon'd several OD pouches and while its decent it does rub off pretty quickly when you're crawling around and stuff.

You should try selling it first and see if there's any takers and how much you can get for it. If you can't move it then you can consider other options (painting/dyeing)
