Inner barrel upgrade
Hey there,
I have recently purchased a 455mm 6.04mm tight-bore for my G36c from Airsoftparts.ca Although i have yet to install it, i am planning on doing that sometime today. I have already bought a 0-ported AK type cylinder to maintain the right air pressure for a barrel this long. Do i need to change any other components to support a barrel change like this? Thanks in advance, -Ben

If you're going to disassemble your hopup unit, it doesn't hurt to put in a better hopup sleeve, if you haven't already done so. I'd normally suggest Prometheus soft (purple), but that was out of stock at airsoftparts when I last checked.

alrighty, I will add that to the list, But other then those 2, i will have no other air pressure issues, right?
Also, i need a G36 selector plate by this Friday, airsoftparts.ca is sold out >.> Anyone have one/know where i can get one by then? I don't think ordering out of country could get it here in a week, maybe with express shipping, but it seems a little silly to pay 25 bucks of express shipping for a 5 dollar piece of plastic

try ehobbyasia - not bad prices but shipping can be pricey if u go for the 5 day service - 10 day is cheap as well though so ur choice but if time is an issue u may have to pay more :S
I know they aint canadian retailer but u might need to go further afield for parts like that sometimes! other notes on ue setup - I'm running a P90 with a 455 6.04 tightbore with the unported cyllinder and stock hop-up etc - gearbox is upgraded to shoot around 425fps with that setup and the hopup rubber is still working perfectly and reliably as well - I was expecting to have to change to a soft rubber but never needed to so try it first before spending more money then u can upgrade if ur hopup is unreliable |

okay, i guess i try sticking with my stock rubber for now.
I'm going to a farm-field skirmish with a few friends this Friday, so ill assess the hop-up after that. I doubt Ehobby will have it here for me by Friday though : \

I've personally have excellent results with Guarder clear hopup rubbers. They're intended for lower velocities and will wear faster in a 350+ fps gun, but I think it's worth it. Just these rubbers alone have gotten me 10-25 fps boosts in any gun I've installed them in, and I find their consistency between shots to be excellent.

I was running a systema hop up rubber and it was pretty good. Only problem is that they are slightly bigger than normal rubbers so they are a pain to get on because they slide too far down if you don't take your time. Once its on though i got like 10-20 feet more range. The fps seemed the same, but i dont have a chronoy to tell.
